I'm sure that is the question of anyone who might "follow" (we will use that term loosely!) this blog... Well, we have been busy! I know, I know, that is no excuse... well, here goes! Let me try to update everything that hasn't been posted here.
First off, we are all in good health, and doing well on the job front for now. The economy has definitley taken its toll on everyone, but we have lots to be thankful for!
We last left off about last September (good grief!) Our usual lazy squirrel was leaving walnuts all over the yard as he/she has in the past...
Because our back door is totally the best spot!
Steve went moose hunting again in Northern Quebec with his buddy Mark. They had another wonderful time, but still, no moose! And apparently he wasn't good about getting pictures of himself, but we do have the lovely scenery he saw...
And the ridiculous size meal they ate (I believe there were only 4 or 5 people eating ALL of this!)
Immediately upon his return, it was time for the BIG halloween party!
Yep - Paul Bunion and Babe the blue Ox!!! Lovely!
And all the sillyness that goes with it! OH YEAH!!!! (Thank you kool-ade man!)
We had a sad note, Visa lost his best buddy and brother Voodoo at the end of October. Poor boy had been sick for a while, and it just wasn't fair for him anymore... We miss you Voo!!!
Then before you know it, Christmas-time was here!
My holiday helper taking a break in the tissue paper... Yes, there IS a cat in there somewhere!!!
And we had to go on with our annual holiday tradition of 'torturing' the cat. Not literally, just one embarrising photo...
I can't tell you how many tries it took to get this, but if this gives you any idea...
One last sporting event for the year... The BIG CHILL! What a great time had by all. The weather actually cooperated and while it was cold, it wasn't as bad as it could have been! Hockey outside, there is just something to be said for that!
And the chaos that is Christmas! We were a little bit of everywhere, with not many pictures to show for it...
And after we ring in the new year, Steve managed to get in some duck hunting (looks like a successful hunt!)
Towards the end of January we were able to escape for a speedy trip to Florida for a little R&R...
And some fun too when we visited the MOUSE (along with the Hamelin Family! Thanks guys! That was a LOT of fun!!!)
Ice cream anyone? (In ridicoulous portions....)
The order has been placed...
How many toppings did that say? Oh! Here it is! DIG IN!!!
It really was photo-worthy.... A close-up shall we?
And now... going....
Going....
HEY! No slacking over there Sammy!!
Keep eating!!!
Mmmmmm...
Whew! All done! Spoons in everyone! Cheers!
Nicely done... now can I go barf? : /
When we got back to reality of home, not much went on until this...
Spring winds did some SERIOUS damage! The river swelled over FIVE FEET with waves crashing over the dock and sea-wall... taking poor Steve's little boat with it. And drowning it : (
This is what you call a BAD DAY!
There were rescue attempts, but with no luck. It would have to wait for better weather...
With a days full of work, and lots of sore bodies, it did come out, but the damage had already been done.
Poor Steve was just heart-broken. The good news, that is what insurance is for. It won't cover all the cost, but hopefully enough so we can get him something better!!! The search begins!
So Easter came, and I tried to cheer him up with some chicks... Cake chicks that is!!!
And a little Peep-Sushi!
Well, that gets you a little closer to where we are... but you will just have to wait for the update! Patience my friends, patience....
: )
